Crewe Community Garden

The Literacy Program and the Crewe Library are partnering with local food bank, Crewe Cares to facilitate a community garden located behind the Crewe Library to foster community, education in gardening and nutrition and health. Different segments or individuals in the local community rent beds to grow food , flowers or herbs. Excess food goes to help Crewe Cares make fresh produce available to local folks in need. HERE is the link to the Nottoway County Literacy Library. It contains the books available as a resource for our tutors to access for teaching their students. It is also available for students as well. These books can be checked out from the Literacy Program director, Kathy Oliver, by either emailing her at literacy@nottlib.org, or calling her at 434-645-9594 and coming by her office in the Crewe Library.
