Welcome to our ESL (English as a Second Language) Class, a cornerstone of the Nottoway County Literacy Program. This course is designed to help non-native English speakers improve their language skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your English proficiency, our class caters to all levels. ***We are starting our new year Thursday September 17th ***The class meets every Thursday Evening (at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Blackstone (903 S Main St) from 6:30 PM to 8:30PM. The instructor is Heather Edwards who also teaches at Longwood University. Our experienced instructor uses a variety of teaching methods, including interactive activities, practical exercises, and real-life conversations, to ensure that you gain confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English. The curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of our diverse community, focusing on everyday communication, workplace language, and cultural nuances.
